A Call for #Pawcircle

Hello friends.  I, along with several pals...Tucker (@bvfeyj), Ethel Mae (@ILoveEthelMae), Sprite and Finnegan (@SpriteandFinn) would like you all to join in a #pawcircle for our friend Buddy @Whyshouldntwe).  Here is our pal, Buddy:

He is our very good pal and he needs a #pawcircle - STAT!  *asks for moment of silence for #pawcircle*  Thank you all for that.

Ma and I have been in contact with Buddy and his ma, Kathy this evening...as have Tucker, Ethel Mae, Sprite and Finnegan.  There has been a lot happening over Buddy's way and we all know what it is like when sad things pile up on a pal.

On Wednesday night, the roof collapsed on Buddy's family's business due to heavy rain.  They admit that it's hard to deal with, but like Kathy says in her email..."It's just things and insurance will cover it!".  Thank doggness for that!  Unfortunately, right before that there was an even bigger accident.

Kathy's niece was in a car accident.  She pulled out (in her car) without looking and an ambulance crashed into the passenger side of her car.  She is in the hospital with swelling on her brain and is in a coma.  She is only 22 years old.

Kathy (and Buddy) are trying to keep some sense of humor...Kathy said in her email, "I guess when it rains (heavy enough to collapse a roof - oh! That's me, Oz interjecting!) it pours".  The family is trying very hard to keep it together but everyone is a wreck.  The doctors say it is a 'waiting game' for their niece.  *raises a worried paw*

Kathy also said that our poor friend Buddy is, unfortunately, being ignored...what with all the waiting and worrying at the hospital and such.  *sad eyes for one of my bestest pals, Buddy*

UPDATE:  I have received author's permission to use this poem, which I think says what we all want to say to Buddy and his family, so without further ado:

Magic Wand



I wish I had a magic wand

To make it go away;

I'd wave my scepter over you

Until you were okay.

I'd think good thoughts; I'd send you love;

I'd transmit healing vibes;

My wand and I would surely beat

Whatever the doc prescribes.

But there is no magic scepter, so

I cannot cast a spell;

Just know you're often in my thoughts,

And I hope you'll soon be well!

I am, along with Tucker, Sprite, Finnegan and Buddy's fiancee, Ethel Mae, beside myself!  We feel we really need to do something!  So, we are asking you...our 'virtual and worldwide pack' to help by:

1. Keeping Buddy, his ma Kathy and ALL their family in your prayers;
2. Commenting on this post with well wishes, prayers, thoughts, etc. so Buddy and Kathy know we are thinking about them; and
