Oz Memories up for Auction


Here it is. 
 
The original dress Dorothy wore in the classic "The Wizard of Oz" and it is going up for auction.

 

According to the auctioneer, the dress could sell for a half million dollars!  *sighs*  If only we were rich, then I could get my paws on that dress.  After all, "The Wizard of Oz" has always been one of Ma's favorite movies.
 
I guess we will have to settle for one of the many "fakes" out there to get Ma dressed up to look like Dorothy.  I, on the other paw, do not have to do much to look like Toto.

    Neither you or Mom needs to be the least bit concerned about looking your parts! How cool is that though, about the dress going up for auction. A bit steep on the price, though...
    You know, I always loved the movie, but all four of my kids thought it was creepy, and were scared by characters in it! Go figure. Most "old" movies aren't scary these days, even the horror ones!

    I think you make a better Toto than Toto does. Just sayin'. ;)

      Hi Kim! Thanks so much for sayin' I make a better Toto than Toto! I've always felt I could do a much better job warning Dorothy about those flying monkeys than Toto.

      I think my Ma thought the witch was scary when she was young and she still to this day cries when Dorothy says goodbye to the Scarecrow. BOL

      Thanks Pip! I think I make a far more handsome Toto but Ma says that's not nice to say.

      I know...a half million! That could buy a lot of treats!
