I couldn't believe we had corn growing! Too funny.
DeleteIs it as tall as a bean stalk?
ReplyDeleteNot yet but I am sure it will be!
DeleteWow, a stray kernal found it's way to your yard. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's what Ma thought but dad disagreed that corn can grow from a kernel.
DeleteWow you are right anything grows there. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteYep...but I am not sure one would want to eat it.
DeleteDon't sit and watch that grow, it takes to long
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Well, I don't remember seeing it but now today I found another one!!! WTD
DeleteCORN, somebody from Iowa drive by and throw it out? Didn't know anyone grew that stuff in Florida
ReplyDeleteThe Mad scots
I think it is from a dropped kernel. It is where the landscapers sit and eat their lunch.
DeleteWow, a corn stalk? Imagine that!
ReplyDeleteWho would've thunk it?!? And today I found another one. BOL
DeleteCool - and fresh corn to boot! We gave trying to grow it - the bugs would always eat it before it was ready. So are you going to climb that corn stalk and head for the land of giants?
ReplyDeleteYes, I am heading for the land of giants...once, of course, the stalk grows taller than me.
DeleteAn escapee from someone's garden? :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine from someone's garden in Florida! Maybe in the Midwest but not here. More likely an escapee kernel from the landscapers lunch!
DeleteThat's cool!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
Purrs x
It's the perfect terrier-size right now too!
DeleteHey mom, look what I brought home, can I keep it? LOL I bet that's some tasty corn Oz.
ReplyDeleteYou think? I don't know about that.
DeleteOh my! The corn is as high as a Terrier's eye!!!
ReplyDeleteYour pals,
Diane and Rocco
Don't I know it! BOL
DeleteHow funny. What a random place to find corn. It's nice anything will grow there! I have a black thumb, and our clay "soil" here in San Diego makes it tough to grow a lotta things!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?!? Well, it is hard to grow edibles here in backyard due to all the bugs!
Delete:-D All I see in California is corn stalks! Hehehe, my neighbor has a whole backyard filled with them! Can't wait to hear about your experience with Viva!
ReplyDeleteReally? Corn grows in CA? You guys can grow anything too!
DeleteThat is quite odd! Are there any corn farms nearby?
ReplyDeleteNot at all.
DeleteHahaha, how funny! And neat too!

Marquie, Lassie & Petal
It is just silly! I just know it came from a dropped corn kernel.
Deletewill it grow "as high as an elephant's eye?" Does Jack live there? :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I hope so!
DeleteSomeone from the midwest must have dropped some seed there! We are surrounded by corn usually but this year with the weather the farmers are having a rough go of it :( Cool that you found that one!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a shame. Ma's friend's parents own a corn and soy bean farm in Indiana. I hope they aren't having a bad season too.
DeleteHow funny! I've never seen corn growing down here in South Florida, but being from the Midwest originally, I know it's supposed to be "knee high by the fourth of July" so that one looks ahead of schedule!
ReplyDeleteI know! It is just odd and now there is a smaller, second one growing nearby. Hmmm, "knee high by the 4th of July"...then it is right on schedule.
DeleteThat's silly Oz! Is that thing just growing randomly?
ReplyDeleteYep. It is just out there in the Ficus bush.
DeleteOOoooo! I wonder if it's Zellwood sweet corn? Some of the best sweet corn ever in Florida.
ReplyDeleteI would not even know how to tell that!
DeleteWant to see corn stalks? Come visit Maya, Pierson, and I. Then we can come to visit you to see some palms. ;)
ReplyDeleteBOL! You got it!
DeleteWhen the corn grow'z Pawty at your pad.. I luvz corn :) xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
You can come over any time you wish, Mollie.
DeleteThat's so neat!
ReplyDeleteIt is neat...and just odd!
DeleteImagine that!!!
ReplyDeleteKitty
Who knew, right?
DeleteOh, I loves me some CORN!! Lucky pups!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
BOL Ruby!
DeleteWelcome back to Kansas Oz!!!
ReplyDeleteExactly!!!
DeleteLOL wonder how that got there!
ReplyDeleteI don't know but it is kinda funny to see.
DeleteCOOL! I hope your humans will let it grow and see what happens!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Well, of course we will let it grow.
DeleteBOL!!! Anything and everything must grow in your yard! If you grow some Cabernet Grapes, mom would like some wine. BOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pepper
Cabernet grapes, Pepper?? Do you think we live in California?!? Ruby would have a better chance of growing your mom some wine!
DeleteThat's funny. I wonder if one of the school kids planted it.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I never thought of that.
DeletePawhaps it be for doggie snaks for thems wot be passin by Oz
ReplyDeleteWell, it could be Marley.
DeleteIf giants live at the top of bean stalks, I wonder who lives on corn stalks? I hope it grows nice and big so you can investigate :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's one big stalk next to you. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThat's random that there's just one lonely stalk! We have lottsa fields of them here, I hope the corn appears soon!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend,
Your pal Snoopy :)
