Pruven Proves to be Top Notch!

Product Review and Giveaway

Last month, the nice people at Pruven Pet Products contacted me to see if Ma would like to try any of their Fur Management, Stain and Odor Remover, or Waste Management products.

Ma said if she had a choice, she would choose the Pruven Pet Odor Remover and Allergen Reducer since Ma, Daddy-dog and several other family members have occasional and/or seasonal allergies.  So, Pruven sent us some products.

We received a Pruven Waste Bag Dispenser, a Pruven bandana and the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover.  The Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover eliminates pet stains and odors by breaking down the mess leaving carpets and other fabric items nice and clean.  It also has  Scotchgard™  protection from 3M to help prevent future staining.

At this point, Ma was a little panicked about doing a product review because I do not do my business in the house...at all...never ever.  I told her "have no fear, woman...the great and powerful Oz the Terrier is here with his creative cap (or Pruven bandana) on!"

I am coming up with an idea now...

Since the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover eliminates odors, I gave Ma a suggestion.  Try it as a laundry pre-treater to eliminate (what she believes is) my "stink" from my bedding.  She took my advice and off we went into the laundry room!

Ma sprayed the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover all over both my pillow-bed cover and my wool crate throw and then proceeded to wash them (as directed by the bedding labels).  Now usually, Ma says that when she washes my stuff it still has some "stink" left - *rolls eyes*  (give me a break) - but after washing with the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover, my stink was GONE (and such a shame that was...I rolled all over those bed covers as soon as I could to get my "stink" back on them).

The "stinky" bed covers...*rolls eyes*

Now, in the process of all of this, Ma was talking with Aunt Linda and it seems my cousin Levi must not have been feeling well, because he was doing his business in the house...all of it (I will mention that Lenox does his business wherever he feels like it which is sometimes in the house too).  Ma asked Aunt Linda if she wanted to try the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover on her carpets.  She said "Yes please!"

Aunt Linda with Levi and Lenox

According to Levi, they were worried about Aunt Linda trying to clean their favorite spot on the carpet but when Aunt Linda has her mind set on something, no one and no dog, can stop her.

What.The.Dog.  A new cleaner?!?

Aunt Linda began cleaning the carpet, the spots having been there for quite some time now (because other cleaners were not working), and the first thing she noticed was the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover did not have that icky smell of some other pet stain removers.  She gave two sprays to the carpet and after 5 minutes took a damp cloth and rubbed the stains gently.

Aunt Linda's stained carpet...dear dog.

To Aunt Linda's surprise, the stains came out easily!  Aunt Linda, Levi and Lenox give the Pruven Oxy Powered Stain and Odor Remover 4 out of 4 dog bones for cleaning power!

In addition, Aunt Linda says she is now a Pruven customer!  Woof-hoo!

Oh, and before I end this review...the Pruven Waste Bag Dispenser is so pawesome because it has a carabiner so you can clip it to your leash or as I prefer...to Ma's belt loop...keeping your poop bags handy at all times (no excuses for NOT scooping the poop).

If you are interested in any of the Pruven Pet Products you can visit their website to read all about them.  Their products are also available at several retailers including Target, Walmart and Amazon.com.

Whoa! That looks like some awesome stuff! I'll confess. My boy Titan has some oopsy ever now and again and piddles (marks) when something riles him outside. We've been using Nature's Miracle but it does have a strong odor and doesn't necessarily get the urine smell out. We would LOVE to try this out! Thanks for the review!

  13. Oz when you put on your thinking cap you come up with the best ideas...Momz & I would like to try the stain remover...I don't make messes ever, but we have some old stains from when Bruno was still here and though Momz has tried everything on them they just won't come out so it would be a real challenge

  14. My eyes just about popped out of my head when I saw the before and after pictures of Aunt Linda's carpet! I got some Pruven at BlogPaws and I need to check and see which one it is. While Sampson and Delilah don't do their business in the house, we have had occasion where Sampson hasn't felt well and he's vomited on the carpet. Plus we have Delilah the Destroyer who spread Salmon Oil and Bisquick all over my carpet. I think I know what I'll be doing this weekend!!

    Thanks Oz

  15. Great review. We don't do our business inside, but we do seem to get tender tummies from time to time and boy do they leave stains when we get sick. It seems every time Mom and Dad find a product that actually works, by the time they go to get a new one, they aren't making it any more!!!

We would love to enter and try something new!
