Last weekend, while Ma was attending educational sessions at our first BarkWorld, Daddy-dog took me on a tour of Atlanta.
We visited some great places including:
The school where Daddy-dog learned how to be a "rocket scientist" - Georgia Tech (Go Yellow Jackets!!)
Piedmont Park, which has great walking trails as well as a dog park
The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, where we saw a deer.
He also took me to Centennial Olympic Park but we didn't get any photos of that. But most importantly...he took me out to eat at...
I loved seeing Atlanta and was so happy that so many places allowed dogs. If you are ever in Atlanta, be sure to check out these great places!
How great that Atlanta loves dogs! Good to know in case I would visit Bacon. If I could choose I would take the big V-Burger - with onion rings :o)
ReplyDeleteThe onion rings were delicious...so says Daddy-dog anyway. I did get a nibble of his chili dog (sans the chili)!
DeleteI should have been hanging out with you Oz!!! My daddy-dog and I just walked around the shopping center next to the Westin and napped. Does your daddy-dog build rockets?!?
ReplyDeleteGarth
Garth, now my mom told your mom that our daddy-dogs should have hooked up for lunch! Then you could have come to The Varsity with me and my daddy-dog...and hiked around the parks with us. Oh, we will have to arrange this better next year!
DeleteOoops...daddy-dog graduated with a degree in building rockets but then didn't get job actually doing that. So his engineering license is in Civil engineering not Aerospace. He builds highways and bridges now.
DeleteWow...The Varsity is still there!!!!! When Mom was just a young kid (maybe 12 or 13--87 centuries ago), she went to Atlanta to visit her aunt, uncle, and cousins. The most popular place to "hang out" in Atlanta was The Varsity! Can't believe it's still there....and even looks the same almost!
ReplyDelete:)
Yep, it's still there!
DeleteSounds like such fun! We wish they had guinea pig resteraunts where we live!
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice, wouldn't it?!?
DeleteSounds like a great dog friendly place. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

We had an overnight in Atlanta on our last vacation. We visited the Aquarium - just awesome, especially watching the whale sharks being fed and the dolphin show. I'd love to visit Atlanta again. We ate in an Irish pub, didn't know about the Varsity.
