This past weekend, I went on a road trip to Atlanta, Georgia so we could attend the Barkworld Expo Social Media Conference.
As you can imagine, before we left I needed a good grooming - some hand
stripping of loose fur and a B-A-T-H.
I know what you are thinking..."Oz, we have seen you in
that magnificent Roman tub. That must
make for a great bath!"
What you think my B-A-T-H is like... |
I say to you, pals...Think Again! I do not get my B-A-T-H in the Roman
tub. I get my B-A-T-H in the kitchen
sink.
What my B-A-T-H is really like...please help me! |
I used to really hate having a B-A-T-H. We Terriers, being Earth dogs, are not
particular to water. That is until the
nice people at Wondercide asked Ma if she would like to try some of their natural Dog Shampoo and Skin Tonic Spray. Now, I
do not mind having a B-A-T-H...as much.
About Wondercide
Wondercide was founded in 2008 and offers "an
innovative line of natural pest control and holistic care products for pets,
people and their property". They
are a Green Certified Business with Gold standard accreditation and are
dedicated to making the world a healthier place.
Wondercide was founded after the owner's dog became
extremely ill from pesticide poisoning after being treated with prescription
flea and tick treatments. After some
research into pesticide formulations, human and animal impact studies,
regulatory laws and environmental policies, a solution was found and Wondercide
was born. Today, Wondercide works with
scientists, professors and holistic veterinarians to develop their natural and
organic products.
All Natural Soap Bars
There are several all natural soap/shampoo bars to choose
from however we chose the Rescue Bar as it was the best selection for sensitive
skin. The soap/shampoo is 100% natural
and biodegradable and can be used for pets as well as people.
Ma thought it may be difficult to use a shampoo bar however
she found it much easier...and I found it much quicker...than using all those
other shampoos that come in bottles. Ma
just wets me down, then grabs the shampoo bar and rubs it once down my back,
once on my belly, once on my legs and then puts it down.
Next, Ma starts gently lathering the shampoo and Great Dog,
talk about a lather! That little bit of
Rescue Shampoo Bar makes a whole lot of soapy lather. Ma really likes the fact that it doesn't
smell perfumey either; it has a clean, fresh scent.
Starting the lather |
Once I am all lathered up and "clean", Ma rinses
the shampoo out of my double-coat. The
Rescue Shampoo rinses out quickly unlike a lot of other shampoos that seem to
take forever to rinse out completely.
The whole B-A-T-H lasts about 5 minutes. I think that is more than a sufficient amount
of time for a Terrier to be in water.
After my B-A-T-H, Ma uses the Wondercide Skin Tonic Spray which
is a natural anti-fungal and antibacterial spray that relieves dry/itchy
skin. It can help alleviate the itchy
symptoms of hot spots, rashes and bug bites and believe it or not, can be used
on dogs and people.
Overall, the Wondercide products have made B-A-T-H time
quicker and easier for both me and Ma which is pawtastic!
If you are looking for a natural and easy B-A-T-H solution,
you may want to check out Wondercide's shampoo products. They also have a variety of other natural and
organic products for Indoor/Outdoor property and for people.

That sounds just like the kind of magical cure our bath times need!
ReplyDeleteDina Mom
You can say that again!
DeleteMy guys LOVE water/swimming, but they still HATE a bath!
ReplyDeleteB-A-T-Hs are just terrierible.
DeleteOkay - we are seriously going to have to try this - it sounds perfect and love the fact that it is a bar of soap - so much easier then trying to squeeze a bottle of shampoo with wet hands
ReplyDeleteExactly! Ma thought it would be more difficult but it is so much easier than having to constantly keep reaching for the shampoo bottle. You gotta try it!
DeleteWow...a BAR of soap gave that much lather? Yep, we need that. Mom uses half a bottle of shampoo on us to get enough lather to get us clean. And....weenie dogs HATE to be clean and HATE water!
ReplyDelete:)
Amber...a little of this bar soap goes a LONG way. You will not believe the lather!! And it rinses out so quickly.
DeleteThat looks pretty quick and easy. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt really is.
DeleteThat stuff is wonderful. A secret admirer sent us some. You look awfully cute lathered up
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Oooh, a secret admirer, eh?!? Interesting...
DeleteRing Ring Ring Hello Hello Hello I can't hear a thing since you banged a gong in my ear Oz. Might not be able to hear but I can still see. Bawheheeeee your in the sink you look all adorable with the towel. OOps I'm a guy not suppose to say that. Do you smell all good now?
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Ma says that is my bubushka look! BOL I smell clean...not perfumey.
DeleteYou look very cute Oz. I don't think anything will make us like bath time. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
My boys hate baths too. They don't fight me, but I can tell they're miserable the whole time. It would be nice to have something like this to lessen the time in the bath.
ReplyDeleteThe bar soap really cut the bathing time down to such a minimum, which is really nice!
DeleteI agree with you, I'm a landlubber too. Water is scary, because I can't walk on it (maybe later, when I'm older and wiser). Thanks from my mom for a great review, I think she can use it for her fur, I better stay dry. have a great tuesday
ReplyDeleteBOL! Easy...you are too much, pal.
DeleteNice Oz, I know so many people that enjoy their baths, I'm glad someone is finally making it enjoyable for you guys too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Miss Jodi!
DeleteThis is a great review. I need to get these for Stella. Thanks, adorable Oz!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You should give it a try!
DeleteYikes, that reminds me that I have to hide tomorrow because Mom made me a spa appointment. I love water, but not that shampoo stuff. I got a bath in the laundry tub when I was younger, but now I am just too big. We can see where the soap bar might be easier than a bottle. Interesting idea, says Mom :)
ReplyDeleteWe were surprised how easy it really is.
DeleteMight have to try some of this stuff. I am still having issues mostly with my feet. Everytime Mom thinks I am on the mend it flares up again.
ReplyDeletehugs
Greta, Bailey & Hazel too
PS You doo look cute in the tub!
Hmmm, I have allergic feet too. It starts to get better than another flare up comes. Poor dear...
DeleteA quick rinse sounds goods to me! It takes a lot of water to rinse suds out of Pom fluff. High Paw! Love the pics :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pepper
Thanks Pep!
DeleteI Golden LOVE Baths ... especially outdoors. You guys have a nice Roman Tub. I am too big for the the sink. Mom only uses it to wash my Golden PAWS (especially when I licks it). Home Baths are the BEST. I bet you smell good too. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteOh Sugar...I bet you love almost anything. If you ever come to visit, you surely could have a bath in the Roman tub. BOL
DeleteOz.....OMDs you look just as handsome wet as you do dry. Love the towel on your noggin....sniff sniffy and you smell good enough to eat
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi your BFFF
One swipe and it lathers that well? Awesome! It looks like it has a lot of other great features too. We just might go check it out. Thanks for the great review. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...really, a bar of soap? I didn't know that doggy shampoo came in soap format, that's kind of cool! Not sure that it will improve the whole B-A-T-H scenario though! :-/ But I do like the idea of that tonic! I get lots of itchy, red skin....I bet that would be really nice to use post bath! Oh and I love eco-friendly!!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute pics! Looks very lathery! Will have to check this out. Rita hates baths too! (Even though she loves to go in the water at the bay or splash about in puddles!)
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask your mom how she got you so handsome looking for BarkWorld. Now I know your secret. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was such a pleasure to meet you.
We have never tried a bath bar, but you make it sound pretty appealing! I just hope it doesn't mean we'd have to lose our stink more often...
ReplyDeleteBunny
That looks like awesome stuff OZ but I still don't think it will make me like BAFF'Z only if it comes wiff a big bag of treats BOL xx0xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
You're so lucky Oz! We got to try out that spray before, but not their shampoo. I got to meet them at the Austin Pet Expo since they are from Austin.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting, we may have to try it when our current bottle of shampoo runs out. Especially the easy-rinsing part.
ReplyDeletecute photos and great review. Your so handsome!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures, especially the last one with the towel. :) Thanks for the great review.
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute in the bath!
ReplyDeleteHey Oz,
ReplyDeleteDid you smell like a girl after all that? :)
Big wags,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Haha! Excellent bloggy ma pal. I gots to say tho you never gonna get me in a B A R F wifout a fight even wiv some new fandangley shampoo, unless it was rabbit or sossidge that is!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this review. I would have completely passed by on this product, because of the "cide" in the name, thinking it was made with chemicals.
ReplyDeleteWe use dog shampoo bars that we love, but the business closed - be bought their surplus of bars so we should be set for a few years though. It's nice to have other options just in case our bars stop working for us.
You look so cute when your all soapy :)
