The musical wasn't all Ma thought it would be but how could anything compare to the original. One happy highlight for Ma (and me) occurred during intermission when Daddy-dog bought us a new friend. Can you guess who my new friend is? I'll give you one hint:

OMD yes he looks just like you Oz! Sorry the musical wasn't fabulous but how could anything compare with the movie? And Judy Garland? It was a big deal growing up when once a year the Wizard of Oz was shown on network tv (back when there were only 3 channels, yes I'm really getting old!)

ReplyDeleteJust too precious for words. I want one! No, I want two, both a dark brindle cairn and the look-alike!! Gracie would so love a cairn friend. I of course also love the movie, and my daughter demanded to watch "The Wizard of Oz" everyday for like a year when she was 5-6 years old. I think that's sorta how we ended up with our first cairn Tessa; we wanted a dog like Toto. Turned out to be one of the best things I ever did! Gracie is our second cairn terrier.

OMD! You have a Mimi-me! The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, though when I was little I was terrified of those flying monkeys. Toto was always my favorite character; maybe that's why I always have a special fondness for terriers.
