Sweet as Sugar Golden Woofs: A Tanka

As many of you know, our dear friend Sugar the Golden Retriever had surgery yesterday to remove a mass in her mouth.  I have been worrying...and thinking...of my Sugar since her Facebook post on Christmas so I wrote her a poem.

Sweet as Sugar

Beautiful smile
warms my heart like Golden sun
on a cloudy day
I sit in violet shadows
waiting to hear your sweet voice

And yes, my Sugar made it through her surgery just fine!  I am so happy.  You are a dear friend, sweet Sugar!
