Yep, only 8 days until March and that, my friends, means it
is almost time for Marching Out the Limericks!
Dog bless the Irish.
Inspire a Limerick
Just like last year, YOU can be the inspiration for one of
my limericks. All you have to do is
email me (Oztheterrier at yahoo dot com) the following pertinent information:
- Your Name
- Your Breed
- Your City/State or Country of Residence
- 4-6 Sentences about yourself
- *NEW: A silly photo of yourself
Many Types of Limericks
If you are hoping to inspire a limerick remember this: A limerick is a short poem that can be silly,
naughty, a little dirty or downright indecent.
I enjoy writing and reading them all.
However, you may not want a naughty or downright indecent
limerick about yourself (though, maybe some of you do and that's fine too) so
please know this: YOU control what type
of limerick you will get! If you send me
silly information, I will write a silly limerick for you. If you send me slightly naughty information,
then you will get a slightly naughty poem.
If you send me downright indecent information...well, you get the point.
You can see last year's limericks on My Poems Page.
Limericks and Laughs
Of course, the whole point of Marching Out the Limericks is
to have fun and make you, and everyone else, LAUGH. If you are the inspiration for one of my
limericks, that means you are willing to let everyone else laugh...at your
expense! So only friends with a great
sense of humor should apply.
Marching Out the Limericks
This year, I will NOT be posting a limerick every day during
March. I have other posts already
scheduled that I cannot postpone. I will
post limericks as often as I can and if, like last year, I need to take the
limericks into April (and beyond), I will.
Also, you may be one of the first to send in your
information but you may not be one of the first to receive a posted
limerick. This generally happens when it
is difficult to find rhymes that make some kind of sense. I will write your limerick but it may take my
brain a while to flush it all out.
Please be patient.
OK...Ready...Set...Send me your information and let's start
Marching Out the Limericks!
