I know many of you have already taken notice of my new
outdoor bed when I posted about my adventure out to Big Cypress National Preserve.
It is a Pet Shade made by Quik Shade Pets. (Quik Shade is the maker of the instant canopies that people use in their backyards, during picnics and
on the beach.) They also make a Pet
Kennel which is similar to the Pet Shade but it has a mesh enclosure with a
zippered entrance.
The Quik Shade Pet Shade
I love my new pet bed!
It is lightweight and easy to take with us anywhere, like when we
recently went camping. It folds up into
its own carry bag just like Ma and Daddy-dog's chairs.
It sets up in seconds because it is all ONE PIECE. There is nothing to put together; you just
remove it from its bag and open it. It is super sturdy too.
The frame locks in place when opened so Ma doesn't have to worry about
me collapsing the bed. Ma also loves
that I am off the ground away from the ants and such.
I find the Quik Shade Pet Shade super comfy. With the canopy and the mesh bed, I stay nice
and cool during the day. It was great for around the
campfire at night too...where I mostly just slept. (It is exhausting being an adventurer!)
I know many of you are adventure dogs like me which is why I
so wanted to get my paws on the Pet Shade so I could tell you all about it. It is great if you are traveling, RV-ing,
camping or visiting a park or fair. Dawg,
you can even just use it in your own backyard!
The Pet Shade comes in small, medium and large sizes as well
as a variety of colors and patterned designs (mine is a medium).
You can buy a Quik Shade Pet Shade at Bed, Bath and Beyond from around
$29.99 (depending on the size).
UPDATE: The Pet Shade is also available at the following stores/online - PetSmart, Petco, Amazon and Fred Meyer!

Now that is really neat and handy! Its great you have your own place to sleep while you're off adventuring!
ReplyDeletewe think it is brilliant and Mom loves it - the only problem with us is we would never use it - we are just dog bed dogs....we have them scattered all through our house - all different types - but we never use them
ReplyDeleteWe think that is great Oz. Perfect for the great outdoors. You look very comfy. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We think that is a really cool bed, we are putting it on our "Buy us Now" list.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. Mom is going to be talking to Dog Dad about this one.
ReplyDeleteThat's totally pawesome! I love how it comes in its own bag like the camping chairs do. Momma and I could go ANYWHERE with one of those.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Ruckus needs this for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat would be great, Roxy and Torrey both love the shade when it's hot. And you look so cute sitting there.
ReplyDeleteWe are sooooooo glad that you posted about this... it is really great. AND we are STUNNED at the Economical price.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool and you always find the good stuff Oz!
ReplyDeleteNot for me because it gets very windy here without warning. I might wake up and find myself in New Mexico.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty cool. I like my outdoor bed, but I love to lie in the sunshine. It is off the ground with a net base so the air can circulate.
ReplyDeleteOz that is about the neatest piece of pet accessory I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYou look like a King on your throne!

I think this thing looks so cool Oz! Perfect for a doggy like you.
ReplyDeleteOz, you do travel in style my friend.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,

That pet shade looks super comfy! I just bought Alfie little Pawz booties like yours for the summer to protect his paws from the hot tarmac :-)

I love it and your review. You do such a great job modeling. You guessed it right on little baby Gambler in the lake with his bumper and splashes, that is one of my favorite pictures of him too! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery neat! When it's wet or cold(ish) it would make sense to keep the dogs of the ground too. When it's hot, though, the ground actually has an amazing cooling power, which this way would be lost.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it Oz. You got lots of room too. Oh! I can tell that your Dad is jealous :-) Hey! and you are wearing PawZ boots too. Happy Luxury Camping! Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea Oz! I certainly would use one (for the dogs though, not for myself.) ;-0 Although.....
ReplyDeleteThat is just one of the neatest products I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing it! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is adorable. I'll have to check the measurements for the large. Large doesn't always mean large enough for a Great Pyrenees ;)
ReplyDeleteOz I would love such an outdoor bed. But probably I would love it to pieces :o)
ReplyDeleteI want one of those too. Sniff and wags from Laika and Vaks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat place to rest. I like that it has its own shade.
