Waiting for Butterflies

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
~Irish Blessing

If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen this photo.  It is a chrysalis that will soon be a butterfly.  Ma and I watched as it climbed up the house as a caterpillar to find it's perfect spot to change.

Well, last evening Ma was sitting at the table on the patio...she looked down at the table leg and here is what she saw:

Another chrysalis!  We must be terribly lucky to have two butterflies waiting to be hatched?  Born?  Reborn?

Have a lucky Blogpaws Wordless Wednesday!  And please keep your paws crossed that Ma does NOT get selected to serve on a jury today.  Jury Duty...yuck!

  11. Lots of paws crossed for Mom regarding jury duty. Mom gets called every time she is eligible like clock work. Thankfully, last time she only had to stay for part of the day.

    The butterfly hatching is cool.

  29. In my Mom's classroom, they often have fun waiting for butterflies to emerge and it's amazing all the changes they go through. Good luck to your mom, too!

  30. We used to keep a caterpillar in a jar with netting over it. I looked up what to put in the jar to help it and my kids kept close watch on the different stages. We made a big deal out of releasing "our" butterfly into the world. They are amazing.

  31. Very cool! We've had less butterflies around here in recent years. This year I've been seeing more, and lots of caterpillars around so I hope that's a good sign.
    Fingers crossed for Mom!
