Fetch! In Slo-Mo

I am a star athlete in my own backyard.

Unfortunately, I need to be on a tie-out in my backyard.  Ma is not thrilled with the idea but since we cannot fence in our yard and my terrier ways make me chase anything and everything that moves...it is a necessary precaution.

It doesn't hinder me from playing a good game of Fetch! though.  Just check out the style of my Fetch!  The ears and tail being used appropriately...and if you listen close, you can hear the slo-mo "squeak" of my Kong squeaky tennis ball.

Do you like to play Fetch!?  Are you the star of your backyard?

  1. Awesome slow mo action there - we are so lucky the one thing Mom demanded when dad was looking for a house - it has to be fenced.

  2. Haha, great slow-mo, you are a true athlete! Aw no, that tie-thing is no fun, but it has to be done, I don't want you to be lost!

I've heard it at 0:14! I agree with your peeps, if you have no fence a leash is the only way to stay safe. I'm always on a leash while walks or if we stay in an "non-alcatrazzed" area.

  5. I'm too old for that. Kali is the star of the backyard. It's big and fenced in.

  6. We play in the front/side yard of our house as it is biggest. It isn't fenced either so Lee is on tie out and Phod can be off leash. Fetch is Phod's fav! Happy playing!

  7. Yes, OZ we understand about being KEPT in a backyard, we call our fenced in moshposh ALCATRAZ which our mean ole cat Dietzman is the warden of it! Early this morning Maggie and Gussie though planned an escape and got as far as the driveway, now Dad is working on tightening the wire down.....

  8. HEY HEY OZ
I am so glad you saw today's post. Mom told MacGyver's peeps she knew a Cairn named Oz...they loved your name.
Terrier shake down we love it. Oh if you could have seen my mom and Gyvie's Mom when he awoke from a deep sleep between them on the swing...in a flash he was in a race with the varmit. who knew he could move that fast!!! Your post today is so in line with what MacGyver did. Thankfully he ran toward the back. Mom still doesn't know how he knew the varmit was in the yard as it was almost dusk. His peeps said during obedience school they were told a leash is a must when walking a Cairn cause when the see things move they lose their Terrier sense.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  9. Too bad you can't fence your backyard, but what lovely grass you have! Rita is jealous! We have a small yard, but it is fenced (good thing since we are on a big canyon!). It's mostly hard-scape so no grass for poor Rita. Lucikly though she's not much for playing fetch, so she doesn't seem to mind not having a big yard to play in. Great video!

  11. I hope no creepy critters get you when you are tied out! We are only allowed out of the pool cage when we are on a walk in FL. A fenced yard is awesome, but a tie out for one dog isn't bad. We don't play fetch, just lots of chase and wrestle.

  14. We don't have a yard but I'll let Mr. N play in unfenced areas occasionally with constant supervision. His prey drive is balanced by the need to make sure he knows where I am at all times.

  15. Great fetching OZ! We are lucky to have a fenced yard, and even the Big Yard is fenced too so when we get to go for a run we are safe! Mom & Dad thought is better to have a smaller yard for our everyday use - it would be too hard to scoop the poop everyday in the big yard BOL! But even our small yard is a nice size!

My yard is fenced in and I can run free but Lee says she would love for us to move to a condo because the yard work is just getting to hard on her with her wacky blood. I hope your Mom got our e-card for her birthday.
