Oh yum! What was once The Barkers Dozen is now called the Paw Street Barkery and though their name has changed, their treats are still drool-worthy!
The Paw Street Barkery was so generous in sending me three different types of their homemade, organic treats. They sent me some Sweet Paw-tato Gluten-free Treats (I love sweet potato), Blueberry Bone-anza Gluten-free Treats and the super fancy Woofie Pie.
They also sent me a copy of their new Canine Cooking Recipe Book which has over 20 different recipes (look for a post coming soon when I get Ma to cook for me from this book!).
Paw Street Barkery organic treats are made from the highest-quality, human-grade organic ingredients like organic wheat flour, rolled oats, organic peanut butter and organic fruits and vegetables. All their gourmet treats are made on demand in small batches with no artificial preservatives to ensure the freshest product possible for the distinguished canine palette.
The treats smell delicious and though you may have a hard time choosing which one to try first, I did not. I chose my favorite flavor, the Sweet Paw-tato Treats to try first. Now, you might not be able to tell from looking at them but these treats are super crunchy! How I love a good Crunch, Crunch, CRUNCH!
Sweet Paw-tato Gluten-free Organic Treats Ingredients:
Organic Sweet Potatoes, Organic Rolled Oats, Vitamin E
Next up was the Blueberry Bone-anza Treats. Paw Street Barkery came out with these treats after a panel of doggie taste testers chose this flavor as their favorite. I think that is pretty dang cool. Oh...and the Blueberry Bone-anza Treats are super crunchy too!
Blueberry Bone-anza Gluten-free Organic Treats Ingredients:
Organic Blueberries, Organic Bananas, Organic Steel Cut Oats, Vitamin E
And last, but in no way least are the Woofie Pies. I know you are wondering about these because they look so scrumptious, like some kind of human treat. Now, after eating a few of the other treats, Ma didn't really want me to eat the whole Woofie Pie. So I stole it and ran off to eat it someplace else. Hence, she did not get any photos of me eating it....but let me tell you, it was as scrumptious and chop-licking as you think it is!
Woofie Pie Ingredients:
Biscuits - Organic Oats, Carob
Center - white yogurt cream
Oh, there are so many treats to choose from over at the Paw Street Barkery. Personally, I think it is a great place to order treats for a special celebration or occasion, since some of them look just like human treats (like the Peanut Butter Pup Cups, or the Barkscotti....). Of course, if you are a doggie gourmet, you may not need any "special" reason to order yourself some delicious Paw Street Barkery treats.
And before I leave you drooling all over your keyboard, I want to tell you about one more thing that Ma and I LOVE about Paw Street Barkery. As a way to give back to their local community, Paw Street Barkery employs staff from the Aditus group, a non-profit that helps those with special needs to be able to enter the work force. In addition, Paw Street Barkery donates a portion of its profits from every sale to not one...but two...2 animal shelters in their community.
I think Tuesdays are the Tastiest! I am joining Sugar the Golden Retriever and Kol's Notes for the Tasty Tuesday blog hop.
