It's totally true. I know inspiration strikes me on walks a lot. And my momma sometimes solves work problems when she talks to us during our walks. I'm a very good sounding board!
Oz...Do you think up a new poem or limerick when walking? You will not believe the bad poem mom wrote about me. I will have to go into hiding after everyone reads it Hugs madi your bfff
Mr. Man is right! Our ideas come with the moment something happens in my crib, therefore my mom can't prepare the posts, she has to write it as it happens

Oh yes, walks are the best for clear thinking! We haven't been walking as much lately, and I can really feel the difference. We're getting back into it this week though. Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
Usually, it hits us when we least expect it. Or - many times - Mr. K will do something silly to inspire another post! Who needs creativity when you got a Scottie entertainer in the house to report on? Much love, The Scottie Mom.
I don't know. My thoughts go everywhere when we are on a walk, just like Maya and Pierson's. Every scent distracts them while every stray thought distracts me.
we agree...this is why we love to walk :)
ReplyDeleteWalking around the gardens in the back yard is where most of our ideas come from for our blog.

Mom says it happens when she runs. Me and Stanley have thoughts pop in our heads all the time but mostly they are about playing ball or eating treats.

Oz, I didn't realize you read Thomas Mann. I have underestimated you and for that I offer my apologies. "Mann, you're a cool doggie!"
ReplyDeleteMom does about 95% of her inspirational thinking on walks and runs. It just happens.
ReplyDeleteIt's true! We like walking and thinking, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWalks/runs = thought provoking posts. Yup, totally!
ReplyDeleteMom has a 35 minute drive to and from work, she has nothing else to do but think and talk to herself!

Ideas always come when you let your mind relax. Walking, exercising, and going to sleep are prime idea times! ☺
ReplyDeleteWalks for sure, but ideas also come to lady when she is driving.
ReplyDeleteWalking or running is certainly one way - good quote Oz.
ReplyDeleteWe agree! Walking is a great way to clear the head and welcome new ideas! I often think about my blog posts or books while I'm walking Rita.
