Freedom is never free.
Happy Veterans' Day!
Today, we honor all the men and women who have served and sacrificed for
our country.
Today, I am going to thank a very special group of veterans
- the November 2014 class at K9s for Warriors.
This is a class that is Marine, Army and Navy strong! OohRah!
The five veterans have just been paired with their new service dog
companions and are now in their 3-week training class where they bond and learn
to work with their new canine service companion.
Thank You for your service to the November class of
warriors!
K9s for Warriors gives a new leash on life to rescue dogs
and military heroes. K9s for Warriors rescues
dogs from shelters and trains them to be service dogs for veterans who suffer
from PTSD and/or Traumatic Brain Injury.
Their overall mission is to empower veterans to return to civilian life
with dignity and independence.
If you remember, you all helped me raise money for K9s for
Warriors during my 10th birthday commentathon.
Because of you and your birthday wishes, I donated $50 to K9s for
Warriors in memory of Grand-dog. I know
many of us have rescues and other organizations that we support throughout the
year, but I would ask you to consider giving a gift (of any size) to K9s for
Warriors during this holiday giving season.
One easy way for you to do this is through my Holiday Gift
Guide in my sidebar. It is my Amazon
Affiliate which means I get a couple pennies (or nickels or dimes) for every
purchase made through that link. All
monies we earn from purchases made from now through the end of the holidays
will be matched by Ma and donated to K9s for Warriors. We still have more items to add into the Gift
Guide but you can find many of the great products I have reviewed on my blog
this year.
But back to the November class and to all our veterans....
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE!

ReplyDeleteThat's true, Freedom is not for free. And I will be grateful to all heroes who paid the price for freedom and peace. Sadly the amazon affiliate doesn't work with our eu-account, it leads us always back to the french site of amazon. Is there any trick or is it generally not pawsible?
