It never really feels like Christmastime in South Florida even with everyone's holiday decorations on display. It is weird to see icicle lights on houses when we do not get any snow!
I decided to hunt for some natural Holiday spirit around my neighborhood and you know what?!? I found lots of greens and reds and even a little white.
What do you think? Is it beginning to look a little bit like Christmas here?
Happy BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday!
Appy Crimbo Oz my pal....sorry i haz not been abowt fur a wile...gotta catch up on da blogs....
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for the decorations here --- the peeps have promised !!!!
ReplyDeleteWeather isn't helping, not white and sparkling, more grey damp and miserable!

It is only just starting to feel like Christmas over here. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Mom is the opposite - she would feel quite at home with Christmas being hot seeing how Christmas in Australia is right in the middle of summer and she would be much happier seeing a green christmas than the yucky brown one we have at the moment
ReplyDeleteYou are the spirit of Christmas Oz!
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas up here- very cold with lots of pretty lights!
ReplyDeleteAw, i'm glad you had some success hunting for some holiday spirit!
ReplyDeleteWe are just finally getting our snow back, it got so warm that it all melted away, and I am not a fan of having a green Christmas. xx
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
That's my kind of white for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about it not really feeling 'Christmasy" - it doesn't here in California either...that's why Jack is wishing for the snow.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is having a hard time this year wif finding the Christmas spirit also and heck we have show and lights and trees....EVERYTHING....so Christmas MUST be found in your heart first cos that is where it counts. We are helping Mom find it.

Oz, I never pondered about that fact... you are right, iceicles ona house without snow... that's really weird... like my mommas polarbear and the snow man... both should melt away in zilch like the wicked witch with the temperatures in our area :o) the red and white flowers look much more like christmas, that's for sure :o)

We're like you-we don't get snow. We do see it on the mountain tops.
ReplyDeleteTime better stop flying

You did a Grand job of finding the Red Green and White of the season... You are a Mighty Christmas Hunter fur SURE Oz.
ReplyDeleteI guess you have to take the spirit where you find it! Even up here where it is cold, you have to look for it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting :)
ReplyDeleteIt does seem weird to have warm weather for Christmas but the Down Under furiends have warm weather so maybe you are having an Australian Christmas?
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I've always wondered what it would be like to live somewhere that doesn't get snow around Christmastime...
ReplyDeleteWe think it is looking very Christmassy there!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!

Now that we arrived at our new winter adventure ... we went for a walk and did the same. LOVE seeing all the Christmas trees and light. Oh! we saw lots of "summer" flowers too :-) Golden Woofs to you OZ!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Christmas holiday season - I see it everywhere and it makes us happy!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is! Good job Oz! You found the green and red! Now sprinkle some sand for the white! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe would be happy to send you some snow to get you in the holiday spirit.
ReplyDeleteMom grew up with no snow at Christmas (California) but she has been in Idaho for lots of years. She likes the snow but hates to drive in it

Same here...temps in 90s and 'I'm dreaming of a White Christmas' playing in the shops. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteStill festive! And hey, who needs snow when you can be nice and warm? I would gladly trade weather with you! :)
ReplyDeleteNice try Oz, A for effort though! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteVery nice Christmas colors, Oz, I think you succeeded on your mission. You can have some of our snow if you really feel you need some though. :)
ReplyDeleteLots of wags and woofs from the crew at Wag n Woof Pets
Good job, Oz! We think the spirit of Christmas is in our hearts. You've got such a good heart that we're sure it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas there. :)
ReplyDeleteWe spent Christmas in Florida three years ago, it just isn't the same seeing all the decorations on green grass and palm trees, so Mom said no more of that and now we go in November so we are home at Christmas. You all do have great decorations, but we like the snow.
ReplyDeleteYour such a great holiday hunter, you did great!
ReplyDeleteAw! Cute photos!
ReplyDeleteHere in Texas, the fall leaves are just starting to drop, so it doesn't feel quite like Christmas time yet here either...
Momma prefers her Christmases warm - she actually cried when we had a white Christmas a couple years ago cuz she hates snow.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Oz! We don't get much snow either, and the leaves are just now falling. We don't mind...Mom sleeps with 3 blankets when the temps get down to 50! Enjoy your beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteWaggies,
Braeden, Seth and Riley
We have the same problem here in South Africa, Christmas time is summer time for us so it doesn't make much sense dreaming about a white Christmas or dashing through the snow. We do however like what you have found there.
ReplyDeleteWally & Sammy
We love that kind of Christmas! Enjoy Oz! xo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteI would definitely have a hard time getting into the holiday spirit in South Florida!
ReplyDeleteNot exactly like Christmas...lol. Growing up my parents had a small place in Florida and we used to go for Christmas break. They had a fake silk tree in the house and I used to decorate it with lights and some ornaments. :)
