Facebook Friend on Friday: Boo & Pokey

Boo and Pokey are 5 ½ year old brothers who live in California with my Facebook follower April.  The boys, who are half Yorkie and half Chihuahua, were adopted when they were only a few months old.  Boo is the black one and Pokey is the silvery grey.

Like many of us, Boo and Pokey love going for car rides.  If April says "ride", they ears perk up and they start scratching at her legs in excitement.  Boo and Pokey, unlike me, are allowed to ride without a restraint so they can stick their heads out the window.  Lucky dogs!

Boo and Pokey also love going for a "ride" in their doggy stroller!

Some of Boo and Pokey's favorite foods are:

• Carrots;
• Broccoli;
• Raw Coconut;
• Chicken Jerky; and,
• spoiled boys....leftover New York Steak bones.

April says she loves their different personalities.  Pokey is sweet and loving and just loves to be held like a baby in her lap.  He also loves milk!  If April asks "Do you want some milk, Pokey", Pokey, with a very serious look, licks his lips and starts to nudge her to give him some.

According to April, Pokey is also a nosy neighbor.  He spies on the neighbors through holes in the fence.  He can spy like this, in the same spot, for hours.

Boo, on the other paw, is serious though April says he can also be needy and sneaky.  He is great at sneaking up on people - they don't even hear the "clickety-clack" of his toenails on the tile floors. 

He also loves to dig and hunt bugs.  A dog after my own heart!  Boo plays with the bugs he finds by picking them up with his front teeth and then tossing them to the ground where he then proceeds to paw at them and finally jump on them.

April says Boo and Pokey are rays of sunshine in her life.  They give her lots of love and happiness.  It sounds like they are the perfect family!
