Even if you are a micro-chipped pup like myself, it is always best to be prepared with some type of I.D. that is visible to a person without a fancy tech gadget just in case you get lost. Those visible I.D. tags can play an important role in getting you home!
I always wear some form of I.D. tag - I have the dangly kind on my harness and I used to have the fitted tag over my last collar. Since my last collar was nearing the end of its days, I was so excited when Hot Dog Collars contacted me about testing their Custom I.D. Collars. They also let me test their Rubit Dog Tag Clip and a Yellow Dog EZ-Grip Dog Leash.
The Custom I.D. Dog Collar is great because it can be customized with your name and contact information. My collar has my full name "Oscar" and Ma's cellphone number repeatedly printed on the collar - inside and out! The collar is a durable poly/cotton blend with a nickel plated D ring and quick clasp closure. Ma really likes it because she doesn't have to hear a tag jingling all day long; I like it because it came in my signature color Orange.
We also selected the Yellow Dog EZ-Grip Dog Leash in Orange. It has a special comfort handle with little indentations for Ma's fingers. It also has a bigger snap clasp for connecting to your harness or collar. It's a pretty sturdy leash!
Last, we chose to try the Rubit CURVE Dog Tag Clip in Small size. It is a clip for your dangly I.D. tags that allows you to easily move the tags from one harness/collar to another. Ma wasn't sure it would be a sturdy enough clip in the Small size to keep moving it from one harness/collar to another...but it is. It is super easy to use and has stood up to Ma moving it from my blue harness to my orange harness almost daily.

Oz that is so cool. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
what a great idea - we have been using a similar tag clip for a couple of years - multiples of them as they don't last very long - we would be interested to see if this brand is sturdier. Love the collar idea too - would be nice if more companies made rolled collars for us long haired dog - we find the flat collars cause a lot of matting.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a great idea
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses

YESsssssssssssssssssssss OZ (aka OSCAR) my Middle name really IS Oscar!!! That is what it says on my LEGAL Papers (AKC)... Butt I very seldom use it...
ReplyDeleteI have a clippie that lets me move my tags easily from one collar to another too. It's totally pawesome! I get to change my collars as often as a fashion-conscious hound could want, and Momma doesn't complain.
ReplyDeletei like the chevron blueberry pattern collar!
ReplyDeleteThe collar clip looks neat!
ReplyDeleteThey have some great collars
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
We have 1 tag on our halter and the rest are on the leash. Unless we leave the house we are naked at home. That is a nice collar and tag connected thingie!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I'd get the Personalized Caution Dog Collar.

Nice! If I win the gift certificate, I would most likely get an embroidered collar that says ThatMutt.com on it. Easy advertising for my blog.
ReplyDeleteWow we visited and their prices are very reasonable for personalized collars! love the tag thingy, since sometimes I wear and halter and sometimes my collar, and you can't have tags on your collar when you go in the ring!
ReplyDeleteI am still perfecting my style - so I am not sure which collar I would choose - but I am sure I would find one I like
hugs
Mabel
Bailey & Hazel too
I like the teal color.
ReplyDeleteWe wear collars with our name and info on them in the collar when we do nose work and wear our harness too. We don't want the tags jingling when we are working. On a normal day, Mom likes the jingling as she can tell where we are and what we are up to without having to go look for us. We always take them off at bedtime so they don't disturb any sleep around here.
ReplyDeleteI'd pick the Personalized Green Daisy Dog Collar. There are many other designs I love too :)
ReplyDeleteI like the chevron style
ReplyDeleteI like the Personalized Rainbow Stripe Chevron Dog Collar.
ReplyDeleteThe skull and crossbones for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are pawsome Oz!!! I loves the crossbones too!!
ReplyDeleteYou always try the bestest stuffs!! ☺
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I like the Scary Night Dog Collar, we do not have a Halloween collar for our dog, Artie.
ReplyDeleteHiya Oz! These sound great! Is the giveaway open to Canada too?
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
P.S The collar I would choose (providing the giveaway is in Canada too) is the Green Daisy Collar, so cute!
DeleteWe are Oregon Duck fans, so I would choose kelly green with yellow text for my baby girl JoJo. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI like the light blue & royal blue with a paw print
ReplyDeleteI would get the blue Chevron for Bentley and I'd have to pick up a couple of those cute shirts too!
ReplyDeleteTAGS for everybody -- cats too. I happen to think the "Caution: Ball Licker" is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI is micro chippied too, but always wear my collar cos it tells who you are. Never go out half dressed without one guys.
ReplyDeleteLuvs Freya Rose Blossom X
very cool, I would get the lime green embroidered collar. I'm always looking for a clip for tags to easily move them from one collar to the next, that one looks sturdy might have to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the personalized sweet lil whales collar!
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing a giveaway!
Nice collar, leash, tag. We love the one that is bright orange and that is the one we would pick!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the orange and black one with my dogs name in black text. His favorite color is orange.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win the rainbow collar for Pride this year woooffffff
ReplyDeleteMy Tito, a Norwegian Elkhound, would look sweet in the blue and red personalized collar! He has tried running, but has figured out lately who really loves him. Just the same, I'd like to not take any chances!
ReplyDeleteWe like the Green Daisy Dog Collar and Miss Maggie agrees!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue plaid preppy boy collar! We used to get collars similar to this, but all there ever was to choose from was just plain colors....these offer a great variety of styles and patterns to choose from, much better.
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
I'm glad you like the Rubit tag- I was considering getting one. I was worried that the small size might be difficult to get off of the D-ring to move, but sounds like it will work just fine! I also like the personalized collars. I do agility, and in my venue the dogs can wear a collar, but for safety reasons they can't have any tags or attachments on them. So I like embroidered collars so that if something were to happen and my dog were to get loose, he'd still have ID on him. Shiloh already has one, but my younger dog will need one soon.
