Lindy and Company is a gourmet pet treat bakery - with an amazing twist. The twist is a tug-on-your-heart story that surely makes purchasing some of their pet treats well worth it.
You see, Lindy and Company was founded in 2012 by Daybreak, a nonprofit organization in Dayton, OH that provides shelter and housing for homeless youth. Lindy and Company is the work-readiness program that employs the youth living at Daybreak so they can develop valuable work skills like timeliness, respect, customer service and teamwork which help lead them on a path of sustainable employment.
According to Daybreak's 2013-14 Annual Report, 116 18-24 year olds participated in Daybreak's employment program for that year. 70 of them completed the employment program, 44 got jobs and 43 worked at Lindy and Company.
At Lindy and Company, they say "Your Pet Can Save The Day" because your purchase of any of their 8 dog treats or 4 cat treats helps keep this great program going! Lindy and Company Gourmet Pet Treats are made from natural ingredients with natural preservatives and are obviously made in the U.S.A.
The kind people at Lindy and Company sent me 5 bags of their homemade treats - Better Butter Honey, Cheddar Chompers, Peanut Butter and Bacon, and two bags of Apples & Cheese, Please!. One bag of the Apples & Cheese, Please! is cookie shapes and the other bag is training size treats.
I opened the Apples & Cheese, Please! training treats as well as the Cheddar Chompers (which smell out-of-this-world delicious) and guess what I found?!? There is a handwritten note from one of the youth workers in each and every bag! Rachael wrote "Bad to the Milky Bone!" and Zoe wrote "Thank you! Enjoy your treats!". Thank YOU Rachael and Zoe because I can taste the love in every bite!
You can find all of Lindy & Company's treats, as well as their ingredients and guaranteed analyses, on their Shop Our Treats page! If you are not near one of their retail locations, you can always purchase some of these tasty pet treats online on their Shop Our Treats page as well.
Remember, your purchase benefits homeless youth!
