I got to test-ride the Kia Soul and let me say, it is a FUN car! Since I received the Kia Soul in the Alien Green color, I felt it was only fitting to take it for a day trip to Florida's Space Coast to show it the space-related sites.

Out of This World Style
The Kia Soul is a funky four door hatchback that has a fun to drive attitude. It's boxy style makes it immediately recognizable on the road while providing a tremendous amount of space inside.
The interior strikes a nice balance between hip and helpful. All the gauges and controls are right where you would want them and the 8-inch touchscreen display, that is home to the navigation system, HD radio and upgraded Infinity audio system, is easy to read and within perfect reach.
The Kia Soul has three trim levels: Base, Plus (+) and Exclaim (!). I received the 2015 Kia Soul ! which includes everything from the two lower packages with the addition 18 inch alloy wheels, body-colored fascia accents and bumpers, LED daytime running lights, and 8-way power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, and chrome interior accents.
Ours had the panoramic sunroof with power sunshade as well. That feature overrides the standard roof rack ready mounting points so you would need to decide which is more important to you.
Houston, The Eagle Has Landed
The Kia Soul has advanced car technology via their UVO eServices. UVO is a subscription-free information system for Kia vehicles. It has advanced voice-recognition so you can use your voice to make hands-free calls and manage your music library.
With a free smartphone app, you can connect even better with your car. The app has a Parking Reminder that saves the location of your Kia and with the assistance of the GPS guidance on your phone, can guide you right back to where you parked. You can also run regular diagnostic checks and schedule a service appointment right within the app.
UVO also has 911 Connect. In the event that any of the airbags deploy, 911 Connect can initiate a call to emergency services for you. It can even transmit your vehicles location to 911 (in some situations only).
Failure is not an Option
In government crash tests, the Soul received a top five-star overall rating with five stars for total frontal impact safety and total side impact crash safety. The Kia Soul also earned a "Good" score for the side-impact, roof strength and head restraints and seats (whiplash protection) tests.
Standard safety equipment on the Kia Soul includes four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, hill-start assist, stability and traction control, dual front advanced airbags, front-seat mounted airbags, side curtain airbags and tire pressure monitoring system.
Go Flight
Riding in the Kia Soul was super fun! Though everyone may not like its unique style, many people we saw commented on its style and color. Some even asked us "Did it come with the Hamsters?". Believe it or not, in Florida's Space Coast we saw more Alien Green Kia Souls than we have ever seen before! Alien must be a popular color for space enthusiasts.

If you are looking for a funky car that is affordable, gets good gas mileage and comes with a 10 Year/100,000 Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty, than look no further than the FUN Kia Soul.
In Alien Green, if you dare.
Do you #DriveKia?
Would you take "...One Giant Leap" for an Alien Kia Soul?
Oz the Terrier would like to thank Kia Motors USA and Drive Shop for allowing us the opportunity to test drive the Kia Soul in Alien Green for one week.
Fab car!
ReplyDeleteI hate the color. You should have asked for "Kismet Blue".
ReplyDeleteWe love that. A lot. We were looking for the dancing hamsters, is that the same car. Macey came to our house a few days ago and she had her beautiful penguin flip flops ...she loves them. Thank you for your kind comment today to my mom.

We looked at the Kia when we were are shopping. They are cute vehicles.
ReplyDeleteThose are seriously such weird looking vehicles, but if they are in a crazy color like alien green, they become fun. Glad you liked it. We tend to get serious cars to review which is odd, since I'm not a real serious dog!
ReplyDeleteNo hamsters rode along??? Cool looking car!

What a cute car! Mom braves the winter roads up North and is determined to keep a four while drive vehicle, but it would be fun to have a little scooty car for nice weather and fun outings!

When we went to rent a car for moving out of our house, the agent offered us a Soul or one other car. I chose the Soul because it was the most square and I thought it would be easiest to pack. But we absolutely loved it!
ReplyDeleteIt drove better than other larger cars we rented. And it really was easy to pack. Most of all, it was comfortable.
The rental agent said he thought the Soul wouldn't be around too long because people complained about it's boxy look. But if I had to buy a car, I would definitely get one.
Just goes to show that looks ain't everything. :)
Wow, I am loving this! It just looks so roomy and comfortable!!!!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
That color is wild, but I think the Kia Soul is a cool car. Lots of space in that little thing. Too bad three big dogs would not fit!
ReplyDeleteIt is a cute vehicle, and I like that alien green! It certainly has all the bells and whistles, and sounds fun to drive!
