I am currently testing the Hachiko Dog Well-Being Sensor while Ma is monitoring me through the Hachiko App for her smartphone.
The Hachiko Sensor and App allows a pet parent to connect with their dog and see their dog's activities throughout the day. The sensor communicates with a pet parent's phone via bluetooth technology and WiFi. If a dog has multiple pet parents and/or caregivers (dog sitter, dog walker, etc), all of them can use the App to track a dog's daily care.
Hachiko lets you and your pet parent:
1. Set Daily Goals - how many walks per day, how many steps per day, etc.
2. Monitor Activity & Behavior - tracks your meals, your water intake, when you get a treat...even when you pee and poop (we were shocked when it asked us while we were out for our first walk)!
3. Track Your Walk via Map - your walk is tracked on a map as soon as you leave your house. When you return home, the Sensor and App let you know you are home and give you the details of your walk.
4. Communicate with Each Other - after my first walk, the Sensor and App sent Ma a message from me!
5. See Daily, Weekly and Monthly Activity Statistics - includes your walks together and the steps a dog takes while on its own.
The Hachiko Dog Well-Being Sensor and App easily attaches to a dog's collar or harness, is lightweight (only 0.7 ounces), is 100% waterproof and is rugged and tough. I've only just started wearing it and it doesn't bother me one bit.
I will be using the Hachiko Dog Well-Being Sensor and App for the next few weeks so I can post what I think about the technology. If you would like to learn more about Hachiko before then, you can visit their website www.hachiko.me or chat them up at their accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
What do you think of technology to monitor your dog?
Would you try Hachiko?

that's a very important invention and it's egg-stremely helpful, I'm sure. do you think we could add it on my dad too, so we know when he is on the way for the next mischief?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I want mom knowing my activities while she's at work. She might think I sleep more than I guard the house.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,

Mom isn't real interested in that, but she would like a webcam to watch Bailie when she is home alone. She wants to see if pillows really explode or if Bailie is behind it all.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cool. I wear a fitness monitor for myself, so why not for the dogs?
