Everything Old is New Again with #FetchFuel

Just like a human, a dog’s joints can suffer from the same wear and tear that comes with age.  It can be difficult to realize dogs are having joint problems until the dogs do not want to run, jump or play as often or as long as they used to when they were younger.  Have you ever wished you could make your dog’s old bones and joints new again?  If your answer is “yes”, then why not give FetchFuel a try?

Oz the Terrier FetchFuel is nutrition for the long run

FetchFuel is “Nutrition for the Long Run”, a new liquid supplement for dogs that is specifically formulated to support joint health as well as maintain healthy skin and coat, and promote heart health and healthy vision.  It contains 600mg of glucosamine, over 275mg of Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids and over 20 high quality vitamins and minerals.

Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a natural substance of the body which is found in the healthy cartilage.  It is not glucosamine specifically that helps repair joints and cartilage but the chemicals it produces – glycosaminoglycans – a big word for some specialized sugars.  These sugars help form and repair cartilage within the body.  They also attract water which is why the body uses them as lubricants and shock absorbers in joints.

As a dog ages, the natural production of glucosamine within the body slows down; less glucosamine means less glycosaminoglycans.  The result of this is a slowing down of the natural repair process which can lead to joint stiffness, joint pain and arthritis.  Providing your dog a supplement with glucosamine can help repair and rebuild cartilage and help restore joint function.

Omega 3 Fatty Acid
While FetchFuel provides Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, it is the Omega 3s that are the superstar in this supplement.  Omega 3s are essential fatty acids which means the body does not produce them; they must be supplied by food or supplement.  You may not realize but many pet foods have a high quantity of Omega 6 fatty acids with much less Omega 3s so your dog may not even be getting the proper amount he/she needs.

Omega 3s have great anti-inflammatory power to help reduce the intensity of some types of allergies, and help lessen dry skin and dander.  Providing your dog a supplement with Omega 3 fatty acids, especially if it is prone to allergies, can help lessen your dog’s dependence on certain allergy medicines that contain cortisone.

Nutrition for the Long Run
Along with Glucosamine and Omega 3, 6, and 9 Fatty Acids, FetchFuel also contains Vitamins A & C for vision and immunity; Taurine for a healthy heart; Calcium, Vitamin D and Manganese for strong bones and teeth.  All those ingredients are served up in a tasty beef sauce that is actually a vegetarian recipe of potato and tapioca.

FetchFuel lists serving amounts for different sized dogs on the back of every bottle.  It can be added to wet and dry food as well as home cooked diets and even raw diets (I asked that before I even accepted the opportunity to try it).  As with all supplements, you should consult with your veterinarian prior to use if you are unsure about adding these ingredients into your dog’s diet.

If you are interested in trying FetchFuel, you can pop over to their website or Facebook page to learn more and you can even Request a FREE Sample.

  1. Oz, that sounds like a magic potion and I hope so much that it works for all pups who have some problems with old joints. I will ask my vet next week, if we can use it and I will tell him, that it is a suggestion by Dr. Oz :o)

  16. I really like how this covers so many different things in one product. I can see where that could be very cost effective.
